Playapads was started by Geoffrey Nelson in 2013 to fill a need for an eco friendly camping rental service for the thousands of people that fly in to attend the Burning Man festival.

He is a 23 year veteran of Burning Man and has camped in everything from the back of a station wagon, a two man tent, a pop up camper, to now a llama trailer that he converts to a living space each year on the playa.

In 2003 he started his own camp which has been serving martinis in a bedouin setting for 20 years.

He travels to the Black Rock desert frequently and can often be seen there enjoying the peace and quiet of the playa the other 355 days of the year.
